Congratulations to our incredible member, Nicole, who summited Lenin Peak on Wednesday!
And she did it solo! Lenin peak, or Ibn Sina Peak, is the second highest peak of both Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, reaching 7,134m. Well done, Nicole!

Recent renovations at a former Almaty store, ‘Kazakhstan’, revealed this beautiful mural behind some drywall. The artists of this fabulous piece are Moldakhmet Kenbaev and Nikolai Tsivchinsky. The mural is an example of sgraffito, a form of decoration made by scratching through a surface to reveal a lower layer of a contrasting colour. Pictured here…
