Welcome to Almaty International Women’s Club!
The AIWC is an English language social organization supporting the expat community in Almaty and giving back to the local community through charities and fundraising.
We currently have around 160 members representing 30 nationalities. We host weekly club meetings on Wednesdays at the Intercontinental Hotel or a local cafe from 10.30am till 12.30pm.
We also provide regular activity and social groups. Our main aim is building community through all these various opportunities from our weekly activities, annual events, and local charity projects.
The AIWC is a wonderful asset to Almaty’s international community. Members are able to share their experiences and help other members with the challenges they face when arriving and living in a foreign country. The many activity groups and social events that are organized help members make new friends.
The other important aim of the club is to raise money for local charities and to help people in need in Kazakhstan.
The Board would like to thank all members for your support of the club and hope that you will continue to support us while the club grows and develops, while remaining a focal point for our community to get information, have fun and build friendships, and give back to the community.
President’s Message
Dear AIWC members,
It is a great honor for me to be elected President of the Almaty International Women’s Club for 2024 – the 25th anniversary of the club’s registration as an official organization. I appreciate all the support from such a wonderful community of women at AIWC who have entrusted me with the responsibility of leading an incredible Club.
The club now has 150 members from more than 30 countries. And this number is constantly growing. AIWC is where we meet, learn, discuss, laugh, and create our best memories. It is also a safe place where we support each other and can share our experiences. The journey of life becomes more enriching and fulfilling when we share it with our friends and loved ones, whom the club replaces in our nomadic life as expats.
Another key goal of the club is to raise funds for various local charities here in Kazakhstan and provide support to the local population. We are all willing to work together to help people in need in our host community. We hope that we will continue the tradition of fundraising and that you will all join us in this year’s charitable activities.
AIWC is where we make ourselves happy. Join us for our weekly Coffee Mornings and Activity Groups as often as you wish to have a great time, learn something new, get some exercise, and get the most out of your membership.
I will be happy to meet all of our incredible members and you can always reach out to me with your suggestions, ideas and comments on how to make our club even better. The success of our Club depends on the collective efforts of you, its members, as you play a decisive role in its implementation
I look forward to an exciting year with you!
Sincerely,
Natalia Inkina
